Colors of Play, LLC was started by Pamela Ullmann, MS, ATR-BC, ATCS, LCAT in 2009 to bring art therapy to the northern NJ area. Currently, Colors of Play provides services in the client’s home, school, or other facility. We specialize in creating a program that meets the needs of each individual and family. We bring all appropriate art supplies with us as part of the art therapy session. We arrange workshops, group art therapy and speaking engagements for community organizations and schools
We work with children of all ages and all diagnoses, such as autism spectrum disorder, oppositional deviant disorder, developmental disabilities, and other behavioral challenges. In addition we treat individuals that are suffering from trauma, loss and bereavement and children and families who are coping with separation or divorce. In most cases, art therapy is a very successful approach when working with the entire family.
We work with your child study team in your school and can be a primary or adjunct source of therapy. Using the Individualized Educational Plan (IEP), we can build a home program that meets the needs of your child and aligns with their IEP goals.
